They’re great for adding some resistance and making a body weight exercise more challenging, but they can also be used to aid you and make an exercise slightly easier, which is great if you’re battling an injury or you need to adjust an exercise to your current level.

2. Jump Rope ($5-$20)
A jump rope is an excellent tool for cardiovascular fitness. It's compact, easy to store, and can provide a high-intensity workout that improves your coordination, stamina, and agility. Plus, it's fun!
3. Yoga/Exercise Mat ($20-$40)

The more well known brands can run you a bit more though.

If you’re serious about training and are willing to splurge, then adjustable dumbbells are a great investment as they save space and offer a range of weights in one set. I bought a pair of adjustable dumbbells from Costco while in high school and I still use them to this day. This would definitely be my top pick from this list!

Some things to consider if you’re debating whether to get dumbbells or the kettlebells is your hand positioning. Some people may prefer the grip offered by the kettlebells versus dumbbells. Also consider what exactly you will be doing, as dumbbells will be more stable than kettlebells, but kettlebells can be used for more dynamic exercises.
